Diverse Learning Environments

Little Buddies
The journey begins in our Little Buddies toddler group, where children explore a combination of traditional and Reggio Emilia-inspired resources. This nurturing environment encourages them to begin their learning through sensory experiences, creative play, and developing independence. Staff trained in both traditional and Reggio Emilia methods guide children in discovering the world around them through hands-on activities, fostering curiosity and a love of learning.
Exploring Friends
As children move on to the Exploring Friends pre-school group, typically around age 3, they engage more deeply with the Reggio Emilia curriculum. Here, they are encouraged to take greater ownership of their learning, exploring topics and projects that emerge from their interests and experiences. This approach supports the development of critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity, all while remaining aligned with the EYFS framework to ensure key developmental milestones are met.

Adventure Friends (Ages 5–8 Years)
Our Adventure Friends group welcomes school-aged children for afterschool and holiday sessions filled with fun, creativity, and exploration. Children can unwind, make friends, and take part in exciting activities such as arts and crafts, team games, cooking, and outdoor adventures.
With a balance of relaxation and discovery, our caring practitioners create a safe, engaging environment where every child can learn, laugh, and grow as part of the 1st Friends family.
